For those of you considering buying an ASUS Zenbook, I want to share my experience to save you the pain I've been through. I paid $1,550 for the ASUS Zenbook UX31E (their top of the line model) on 11/21/11 from New Egg.com. On 11/28/11 I received the computer and began using it. It worked fine for the first four weeks and then began having problems starting up.  On 1/14/12 it didn't start at all and on 1/17/12 I sent it in to be serviced as instructed by ASUS (it was now just beyond NewEgg's 30 day guarantee).  They received the computer on 1/20/12.

I have had no phone calls or e-mails from ASUS at all. I have to call their Customer Service hotline, which consists of people in Malaysia or some other foreign land peering at a computer screen reading back to me the exact same information I obtain from the ASUS Service website. It is now almost two weeks and there is no indication on when my computer will be returned. The ASUS Service site states, "Waiting [WB-1] Wait for Material/Spare Parts".

Well, I've had it! I'm starting a social media campaign to put pressure on ASUS to either fix my machine or send me a new one! My client files are on that computer and it is very difficult to work without my files. Please reblog this post and Tweet it with the hashtags #ASUS #GailRobinson. Let's see if social media can work to get this arrogant giant's attention.

I love watching jelly fish. The way they move through the water fascinates me. They seem to float and propel all at the same time, appearing to move by inhaling and exhaling.

Costa Mesa Parks - Fairview Park

Fairview Park is located on Placentia Avenue next to Estancia High School and is near the end of the Santa Ana River Trail. Aside from being a great place to just bike, this park offers many incredible amenities. It has room up top for kids to run and fly kites, kick soccer balls, and generally have a great time. In the summer Fairview Park hosts Costa Mesa's Free Concerts. In addition, there is an area to fly remote controlled airplanes. There are also hills that frequently have children and adults alike enjoying mountain biking and jumping. With 208 acres, there is lot of space in Fairview park for everything from walking your dog, to flying your RC plane, to riding model trains, to just getting out and expending some energy and enjoying a beautiful day. In addition to the activities we enjoy today activites, the park was once home to The Indians of Lukup. Fairview Park has both an upper and lower mesa and can be used to access the Talbert Nature Preserve and the Santa Ana River Trail. Over the last couple of years, there have been improvements made to Fairview Park via Fairview Park Wetlands and Riparian Habitat Project. These include the restoration of approximately 17 acres of riparian habitat. Once completed, the project will include new trails from which we can enjoy the natural habitats. You know, it's really too bad that we never have any fun in our house. A few days ago, my husband brought home some new hair care product for my son. He loved it, and promptly tried it out on his little brother. You can see the results above.

When I wanted a picture of the new 'do, they both had to get in the middle of it and out do each other. Apparently the dog needed to get in on it too.

So, you've decided it's time to buy a Costa Mesa home, and you're thinking about what you really need.

Perhaps you've been pre-approved or you know about how much you want to pay monthly, and so you've come up with a purchase price.

Now, you're trying to decide what's important to you. I always sit down when people are considering buying a Costa Mesa home to ask several questions.

It's important to consider what's important to you in buying a Costa Mesa home, and it's also important to try not to buy obsolescence.

And, you're probably wondering what "buying obsolescence" means.

For instance, most buyers these days expect want demand at least 1.5 baths in a home, so if you're thinking that you could "live" with just one bathroom, you might consider what that might do to your pool of buyers when you're ready to sell your Costa Mesa home.

Why You Should Do as I Say when Selling Your Costa Mesa Home and Not as I Do

When you decide to sell your Costa Mesa home, your Costa Mesa Realtor will likely make some suggestions to "stage" your home and make it look its best.

This is one of the services that I offer to my Costa Mesa sellers. And, I will typically walk through and make numerous suggestions from small to big things that a seller can do to make their Costa Mesa home more attractive to the largest number of buyers.

One of the easiest things to do is paint, and I often recommend this.

So, you're wondering what does this have to do with doing as I do and not as I say?

My home is fairly colorful, and I have many strong paint colors and even a mural on a wall. This is not what I would recommend for a Costa Mesa home seller. When I sold a friend's home a few years ago, she commented that my home did not look at all as I was recommending for her home. I had to point out that my home isn't for sale, and I am living in it, and it is currently decorated according to our tastes.

If your home isn't for sale, then it's fine to decorate it to your own taste and enjoy it, but if selling your Costa Mesa home for the most money in the shortest amount of time is what you want to do, then it may be time to make some changes.

If I were to sell, my home would not look as it does now, but since I'm not selling it right now, I'm going to just enjoy it. So, for now, if you're selling your Costa Mesa home, you're better off doing as I say and not as I currently do.
