It's been years since I've been to the City during the summer time, and I had forgotten that San Francisco can be cold and foggy even in the middle of the summer.

Still we had a great time enjoying the City and taking the time to stop at a vista point, something I didn't usually do when I was in college.

The fog adds a touch of nature's artistry to the photo.

Ah yes, I remember one summer we were sweltering in 100+ degree days here in Sacramento.  I was spending a long weekend in San Francisco, and heard the weatherman say we would be having temps that would reach into the 70s. . .It sounded like music to my ears!  I love the appearance of fog - always so mystical!

I've never been but it's on my short list of places to visit!

I would welcome cold and foggy anytime after this hot summer we've had in Kentucky! Great photo.

Great shot  - I hope the fog burned off later and you had a wonderful day.  But, then, San Francisco's such a WONDERFUL city - doesn't really matter about the weather.

Christine - It was 105 here yesterday in DFW with no signs of dropping anytime soon. I love Texas, but the heat is killing me. We do usually get to swim in our pool right up until Thanksgiving or maybe even Christmas some years...

San Fran is a wonderful city, despite the fog. I'll take that over 100+ temps in Dallas any day.

That morning fog is what makes it the great backdrop it is for so many movie scenes.

Bob and Leilani - I remember that from my time at Cal.

Pamela - It's one of my favorite cities.

Norma - It does.

Patty - Me too!

Myrl - I'm so glad we don't have 100+ days.

Anita - You really should take the time to go.

Connie - There seem to be several people who wouldn't mind fog about now.

Juli - It stayed foggy, but the micro climates prevailed, and almost as soon as we left the city, it was warm and sunny.

Brent and Deb and Coleen - Dallas is much too hot for me in summer.  I'd take SF over it for sure.

Tony - Thanks.

Todd - It really does.

Steve  - Thank you.

Hi Christine... it was 107 degrees here today.  The cool foggy day in your photo looks remarkably refreshing!

Carol - It really is a lovely place to visit.  I was forunate enough to live near it for several years and have been many times.

When we visited - no fog, it was a little disappointing for a clear day

Billie - There's just something wrong with that when you're expecting the City's fog.
