The Huntington Beach Fourth of July Parade is an amazing celebration. Over the years it has seen such celebrities as President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Natalie Wood, Zsa Zsa Gabor, astronaut Buzz Aldrin and Shirley Jones.
It is an all day celebration which starts with the Surf City 5K Run at 7:00 am, which is followed by the Kiwanis' Pancake Breakfast in Lake Park.
At 10:00 am, the parade begins near the Huntington Beach Pier and heads down Main Street. It is quite an experience. Whether you have never been or have been attending for the last 20 years (or more), make sure you get out and see what all of the excitement is about.
The amazing fireworks display begins at 9:00 pm.

Hey Christine! You simply MUST video this for your next post!! A 105-year tradition must be documented and you have a talent with that video camera!
Have a safe and wonderful Independence Day!
Christine: I had no idea that the HB yearly 4th parade went back that far! That is awesome. Happy 4th of July my friend!
Sounds like a blast, wish I could be in a 1000 places at once... maybe WEB 4.0 will allow that! lol~
Have a safe and happy fourth. :-)
Hey Debe - I would have loved to have done that, but I consider a bike necessary, and my youngest's head isn't big enough to wear a helmet yet. How about next year?
Kat - Happy Fourth! It goes back many, many years. I didn't realize quite how long either until a few years ago.
Brad - Happy Fourth to you too. I'm intrigued by this Web 4.0 thought. Does it come with transporters?
