Huntington Beach Central Park

Huntington Beach Central Park

Central Park is more than 350 acres of wonderful park in the heart of Huntington Beach.  This park has something to offer everyone.  In addition to two lakes, it has open spaces, walking trails, an ampitheater, a dog park, a disc golf course, several playgrounds, bird watching, fishing and more.  There are also numerous picnic tables so that you can eat a meal while enjoying all that Central Park has to offer.

There are activities scheduled here throughout the year including cross country races in the fall, a jumper show at the equestrian center in the spring, summer concerts in the park, Shakespeare in the Park, Civil War re-enactments, an Easter egg hunt and car and dog shows during the summer.

Lakes and FishingHuntington Beach Central Park Lake

The two lakes are Huntington Lake and Talbert Lake.  The lakes are stocked with several species of fish including catfish, trout, carp and bass. Though fishing is allowed in the lakes, catch and release is recommended for the bass.

Equestrian Center

The equestrian center encompasses 40 acres of the Huntington Beach Central Park and has a full time riding school as well as boarding for horses.

Dog Cafe

If you choose to bring your dog to the park, why not spoil him at The Park Bench Cafe which has a menu for dogs?  The dog menu includes Bow Wow Wow Chicken and Rover Easy scrambled eggs.

Huntington Beach Central Library

The Huntington Beach Central Library is located at 7111 Talbert Avenue in Huntington Beach Central Park.  Why not come check out a book and enjoy reading it in the park?

In addition to the outdoor activities available for children, Huntington Beach Central Park has the largest children's library west of the Mississippi.

 Huntington Beach Central Park Playground

The park is located at 18100 Goldenwest Street with entrances at Edwards, Goldenwest, Gothard, Slater, Ellis and Talbert.

The park is closed from 10pm to 5am every day.
