Sometimes your imagination is better than the reality, or so think my children upon occasion.

Back and forth they went.  Maybe we should ride the teacups, maybe not.  "Mom, Dad are you sure you don't want to ride?"  Been there, done that, no need to spin around in circles.

Finally, they found this teacup that didn't require them to turn in circles.  All they had to do was sit in it, imagine they were spinning, and let Mom take a picture.

So, when do you think imagination is better than reality?

My little one has been wanting to emulate the big one for so long, and now, finally, he can!  Just barely and with a bit of a boost from his family.

I think it made him feel like he's finally a big boy.  Regardless, it made for lots of smiles.

My little one loves to climb the super-size legos at Downtown Disney.  He's also a bit of a ham and likes to strike a pose or two while hanging out.

Halloween at Disneyland - Holiday Fun Part 2

Halloween at Disneyland - Holiday Fun Part 2

 

Disneyland is famous for its Christmas decorations, and for the last few years, it has really stepped up its Halloween festivities too.

This year, Disneyland is even more decked out for Halloween than in previous years.

 

Goofy Halloween Pumpkin 

 

In addition to the usual Haunted Mansion which has been invaded redecorated by Jack Skellington, Space Mountain is now Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy with ghouls added to the meteors and Big Thunder Ranch Halloween Round Up wtih lots of activities and crafts for the kids.

 

Disney Halloween Hearse

 

All of this can be enjoyed during the day.

If this isn't enough for you, there is also Mickey's Halloween Party.  A few years ago, Disney began a Halloween event at Disney's California Adventure.  This year, due to construction, it has been moved to Disneyland.  Kids and adults come in costume and trick or treat at different stations around Disneyland, and it wouldn't be complete without one of Disney's festive parades.  Mickey's Halloween Party requires a separate ticket from Disneyland's usual ticket.  You can buy tickets at Mickey's Halloween Party.

 

All of the fun ends on Halloween, so be sure that you get over to Disneyland in the next week to enjoy the holiday as only Disney can present it.

This hearse was decked out with smiling jack o'lanterns and Santa hats that seemed a little at odds with a hearse.  It's just so festive.  I suppose it could be a celebration of somebody's life, but it was just one of those things that caught my eye.
