 Its a Small World

 

It's a Small World is an absolute must for any Winter Holiday or Christmas visit.  They deck the halls and add Christmas music.  It's been one of my favorite holiday traditions for many years, and I'd begun to think we were going to miss it this year.

Fortunately, we didn't, and young and old were delighted as we always are by the Disney magic mixed with the holiday spirit.

Sleeping Beauty's Castle Winter Wonderland

Whether day or night, Disneyland is a wonderful place to visit.  Still, there seems to be something especially magical about Disneyland at nighttime when it's decorated for Christmas.

We finally made our annual Christmas visit to Disneyland just before the holiday lights and decorations came down, and I wanted to share them with all of you.

Halloween at Disneyland - Holiday Fun Part 2

 

Disneyland is famous for its Christmas decorations, and for the last few years, it has really stepped up its Halloween festivities too.

This year, Disneyland is even more decked out for Halloween than in previous years.

In addition to the usual Haunted Mansion which has been invaded redecorated by Jack Skellington, Space Mountain is now Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy with ghouls added to the meteors and Big Thunder Ranch Halloween Round Up wtih lots of activities and crafts for the kids.

All of this can be enjoyed during the day.

If this isn't enough for you, there is also Mickey's Halloween Party.  A few years ago, Disney began a Halloween event at Disney's California Adventure.  This year, due to construction, it has been moved to Disneyland.  Kids and adults come in costume and trick or treat at different stations around Disneyland, and it wouldn't be complete without one of Disney's festive parades.  Mickey's Halloween Party requires a separate ticket from Disneyland's usual ticket.  You can buy tickets at Mickey's Halloween Party.

 

All of the fun ends on Halloween, so be sure that you get over to Disneyland in the next week to enjoy the holiday as only Disney can present it.

Disneyland - Volunteer for a Day, Get a Day Free

 

Have you been thinking that in today's world, you are more fortunate than others, and perhaps you should be giving back?

 

Have you been thinking that you would like to go to Disneyland, but you would rather save the entrance fee?

Disneyland Volunteer Day

What if you could combine these two things?  What if you could help other and get into Disneyland free?

 

Why not participate in Give a Day, Get a Disney Day?

 

Disneyland wants to inspire 1 million people to volunteer for a day. To do this, Disney is offering to give a free admission for one day and one park to each person who volunteers.  You must pre-register and sign up through Disney's site in order to participate. 

This program begins January 1, 2010 and ends December 15, 2010 or once all tickets have been distributed, whichever occurs first.

What better way to combine two wonderful things, helping others and enjoying a day at the Magic Kingdom?

So, if you would like to participate, be sure that you sign up on Disney's Site and be sure to do it before Disney runs out of tickets.
