Costa Mesa's Neighborhood Blog

A blog about Newport and Costa Mesa with an emphasis on Costa Mesa Real Estate and Newport Beach Real Estate, written by a lifetime local resident of coastal Orange County whose knowledge of the area, combined with a strong background in mortgages, real estate and being an attorney, gives her clients many advantages.

How Can We Help Our Clients with their Costa Mesa Home if They Do Not Trust Us?

How Can We Help Our Clients with their Costa Mesa Home if They Do Not Trust Us?

As a real estate broker, I assist people with the purchase and sale of what is usually there largest asset, their home.

Because of this, I feel that it is incumbent upon me to use my knowledge and my expertise to do the best job possible for them.  In order to do this to the best of my ability, I need my clients to trust me.  I need them to trust me with their true motives for buying and selling (not what they think I want to hear).

I need them to trust me enough to listen to my advice.  Perhaps the most important thing I can do to help my clients is to help build the trust and confidence that allows them to truly hear and believe what I tell them.  When I tell them that their property won't sell at a particular price or that a home they truly want should not be underbid, it is imperative that they have the faith in me to listen.

Building trust is harder with some people and easier with others.  I try to do this by first listening to what my clients tell me, and then making sure I understand what they said.

I work hard to deliver everything that I say I will, and when there's a problem, I don't hide it from my clients.  I come to them, tell them what the problem is and offer a suggestion.

Has it worked?  I think so.  Take a listen below, and let me know what you think.
