I was wandering through one of my favorite places, Borders, a year or two ago when a book caught my attention.

Brian Tracy's Eat That Frog! recommends that in order to avoid procrastination, you should start your day by eating the biggest, baddest, ugliest frog/task you have to deal with that day.
Once you have eaten the frog, everything else becomes easier as you no longer have that beady eyed frog staring you in the face, taunting you as you try to do everything else on your to do list in an effort to avoid it.
And, what if you have two frogs you have to eat on a particular day? Tracy recommends that you eat the ugliest of the two first.
How much more would you get done each day if you weren't distracted by the beady eyes of that day's frog staring at you all day long while you attempted to avoid eye contact and work on something else?
Just think about how much more effective your day would be if you just bellied up to your desk, grabbed that frog and ate it first thing in the morning rather than dreading it all day.
So, do you Eat That Frog?
