Costa Mesa Real Estate Minute - September 22, 2008

The Costa Mesa Real Estate report for September 22, 2008 is as follows:

There are 334 homes currently for sale in Costa Mesa.  244 of these are single family (SFR) homes.  90 are condos.

100 homes are in escrow, conditionally sold. 76 are SFRs. 24 are condos.

38 homes have closed escrow in September.

The median price of homes in September is $540,000.  The average price of a home in September is $517,398.

Nine of the homes sold in September were bank owned/REO, and nine were short sales (requested the lender accept less than was owed on the mortgage upon sale), had a notice of default filed(for failure to pay the mortgage) on them or were otherwise in the foreclosure process.

Of the 62 homes closed escrow in August, 13 of the homes were short sales and 22 were bank owned/REO properties.

Three homes were listed today.  One home was placed in escrow since our last post. 

Two homes were cancelled, and eight were placed on hold today.

Costa Mesa Real Estate Minute - September 16, 2008

The Costa Mesa Real Estate report for September 16, 2008 is as follows:

There are 330 homes currently for sale in Costa Mesa.  242 of these are single family (SFR) homes.  88 are condos.

107 homes are in escrow, conditionally sold. 80 are SFRs. 27 are condos.

27 homes have closed escrow in September.

The median price of homes in September is $560,000.  The average price of a home in September is $529,378.

Six of the homes sold in September were bank owned/REO, and four were short sales (requested the lender accept less than was owed on the mortgage upon sale), had a notice of default filed(for failure to pay the mortgage) on them or were otherwise in the foreclosure process.

Of the 62 homes closed escrow in August, 13 of the homes were short sales and 22 were bank owned/REO properties.

Four homes were listed today. 3 homes were placed in escrow since our last post. 

One home was placed on hold today; one was cancelled.

25 homes have closed escrow in September.

The median price of homes in September is $565,000.  The average price of a home in September is $568,708.
