Does Everybody You Know Know What You Do?
Everyone knows that in business you need to prospect, but what does that mean?
Does that mean that you need to be one of those in your face kind of people?
I don't think so, but I do think I need to let people know what I do and that I am available to help them or their friends and family with their real estate needs. Also, I want to make sure they know that I am always happy to answer any real estate related question they may have even if they're not planning to buy or sell any time soon.
This is just one of my value propositions for everyone in my sphere. They can approach me without fear that I'm going to jump down their throat and get them to try to buy or sell a home.
The result?
Today, one of my acquaintances that I have known for several years asked if I could sit down and talk with her about what she needs to do. Like so many other people here in Orange County, she's upside down and in financial distress.
So, next week, we'll sit down and discuss options and try to help her make the best decision for her circumstances.
My recommendation? Make sure people know what you do and that you're willing to help them.
Sounds simple, doesn't it?
